Intra-Discipline Program of Study

Purpose

Develop a stronger “linkage” between CIS 114 (Math and Problem Solving for Information Technology) and CIS 250 (Database Theory and Design).

This linkage will be accomplished by:

1.                  Introducing the concepts of relational algebra (Boolean logic) in the CIS 114 course and

2.                  Expanding and integrating relational algebra in CIS 250 as it relates to the theory of database design (i.e., table structure, forms, and queries).
